The invisible weight of work
The statistics are clear: nearly one-third of self-employed workers see their personal relationships deteriorating under the weight of work. Behind these numbers are stories that may sound familiar: the father trying to be present while juggling deadlines, the professional who keeps postponing a night out with friends, the entrepreneur checking emails during family dinner.
The tightrope walker of modern life
Have you ever felt like a tightrope walker on a wire, desperately trying to maintain the balance between professional and personal life? In my counseling work, I often meet professionals who describe this sensation of suspension, holding their breath while trying to manage everything.
Transactional analysis, a garden of well-being
Like a garden that requires constant care, our well-being needs dedication and awareness. Too often, however, we find ourselves running like hamsters in their wheel, going faster but with no real direction.
As a certified transactional analysis counselor, I offer a safe space to explore the dynamics that define your professional life. We often uncover recurring patterns such as “Without me, you won’t make it” or “Perfection at all costs” which fuel the vicious circle of stress. Each session becomes a step toward rediscovering your intrinsic value, often forgotten under the pressure of performance and a deeper awareness of your true needs.
Professional stress gradually penetrates into our lives like water that, drop by drop, erodes the rock. Through counseling, we work on your internal “permissions”: the permission to take a break, to say “no,” to not be perfect”, to ask for help.
Drop by drop, the warning signs
If you recognize these signs:
- Relationships with colleagues and clients become increasingly more and more tense
- You struggle to make balanced decisions
- You allow yourself fewer moments of appreciation
- You feel constantly “on the edge of urgency”
- Your sleep is disrupted by professional thoughts
- You notice a decline in your creativity and enthusiasm
…know that there is another way to live your profession. Like a gardener who learns to take care of his plants, we can also learn to nurture our professional well-being with attention and kindness.
Rediscovering our values for a new flow
Have you ever wondered what your workday would look like if you could reclaim your natural rhythms? Like a river finding its course between rocks, we can also discover a more harmonious flow between professional challenges and our deepest needs.
If you feel the time has come to explore this possibility, I am here to accompany you on this journey of self-discovery.
